I hear more and more people are commiting suicide because of harold devil camping's nonsense! Why is that?

It is sad when they have pinned all of their hopes on the words of a man. The Word of God would give them hope for a time like this. I wondered how many gave away their all, as they didn't plan on needing it any longer. If they were used to a certain standard of living and quit their jobs, gave away all of their earthly possessions including their home, ran up credit card debt, got rid of their savings, gave away their pets, and got rid of their cars, it must really be hurting right now. The ridicule, and those that received everything of theirs, might not graciously return their belongs under any cirstance could make their life tough. When we are at our weakest point in life, then we need to look up to God for our strength. They need to open their own Bibles and study the Word of God for themselves. Even the new date set is not Biblical. Many were trying to get the word out from Matthew 24 that no man knows the day or the hour of the coming of Jesus. The Bible does not contradict it's self. Man's ideas and traditions are what contradict with the Bible. Pulling out a verse here and there out of context, and downplaying verses that contradict the point you are trying to make, are the source of the problem. If you have the right outline then everything falls right into place exactly right. God gave us the prophecies to encourage us, not to discourage us. God wants us to not be afraid and to not be caught off guard. I once drew a small map to drive out West. I failed to put down more than the highways and a half dozen towns. At the rest areas I would check the big maps to see where I was, and to see how much farther I had to go. The signs along the way didn't help me to get my bearings without the big map. It is sad that people are willing to get their food partially digested like the baby birds. When they fall out of their nests, there is always a stray cat ready to take all but a few feathers.
