Does honey have starch and does it change colour after adding iodine solution?

it is pure sugar and therefore doesnt change color in iodine. honey is nothing more than condensed nectar which is produced by flowers for the sole reason of attracting pollenators. the flower is going to secrete basic sugars not complex carbohydrates.
