Please help: Allah revealed the Torah (Tawrat) and Gospel (Injeel)?

I always understood that verse to mean that Allah has confirmed the authenticity of the stories He had been trying to set as an example for all of us. The contradictions were due to one being right and the other tampered with by us humans :)
