Last World Cup, Ferguson's star player Rooney breaks a metatarsal, previous World Cup, star player David Beckham breaks a metatarsal. Do you think, just because coincidentally he happens to be a Scot (and you know how sporting the jockos are when it comes to the England team!), he's playing our best players in his toughest matches just to scupper our chances. By the way, England fans don't go on about 1966 a tenth as much as grudging Scots do in almost every letters page in the Daily Record in the run up to the cup.
